Per-oral endoscopic myotomy after previous interventions for achalasia

Achalasia may be treated with a variety of modalities including pneumatic dilation, Heller myotomy, and per-oral endoscopic myotomy (POEM). All are effective, and all may fail at times. In such cases, POEM may be an effective, minimally invasive means to re-treat these patients.
